Congratulations Comparex
Microsoft has just announced 2015’s SAM Partner of the Year. And I am delighted to see that Comparex has been recognized for their hard work to help customers optimize their Microsoft software estate.
We started to work with Comparex back in 2007 when they were still known as PC-ware, so it’s fantastic to see them take this year’s award. I am also very proud that for the third year running (indeed the fourth out of the last five years), the top honours have been taken by a Snow Cloud Service Partner.
Comparex joins Softcat, Crayon and Civica as Snow partners that have demonstrated leadership in the delivery of Software Asset Management services within the Microsoft Community.
Since we launched our cloud edition of Snow License Manager in 2006, the adoption among both service providers and end user organizations has been phenomenal.
Today, customers can choose from more than 40 SAM service providers who use the Snow platform as the base for their offering. We now call it a Cloud offering, but the original idea came from our early work with the ISO 19770-1 international SAM standard, and our strong belief that a successful SAM program is not only dependant on having the right technology but also human knowledge and processes.
We had the technology, and recognized that a network of global partners with dedicated SAM experts would be the ideal way to address the knowledge and process requirements. Our technology, their expertise, the best of both worlds.
And although in the beginning it started out amongst Microsoft partners, today we see that many different types of service providers are entering the SAM space, everything from outsourcing companies like Fujitsu and CGI, to management consulting firms like Deloitte and KPMG.
The fact is that if you are using a SAM service provided through the Cloud you are most probably benefitting from Snow technology underneath, even though you might not know it!
