Snow Software enters the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Mobility Management Suites

14 June, 2016 – Snow Software, the leading developer of Software Asset Management (SAM) solutions, today announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the June 2016 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Mobility Management Suites. Snow Software is a new entrant in the Magic Quadrant only nine months after the first release of its Enterprise Mobility Management suite, Snow Device Manager. The solution extended the benefits Snow Software’s fourth generation Software Asset Management platform and software license optimization to mobile devices.

Already acknowledged as a world leader in Software Asset Management, Snow is proud to be recognized for its solutions by Gartner. Snow is unique in offering a SAM platform that integrates mobile device inventory and EMM – an area which we feel has been largely overlooked by other SAM and EMM vendors. The powerful combination of SAM and EMM enables cost optimization of mobile apps and software.

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Mobility Management Suites recognizes how Enterprise Mobility Management suites help organizations integrate and manage mobile devices in their IT infrastructures. According to Gartner: “Enterprise mobility management (EMM) suites are the “glue” that connects mobile devices to their enterprise infrastructure”.

Managing costs for licenses, applications, internal access and security on mobile devices are a key enterprise priority today, as smartphones and tablets offer more computing power than ever before and the number of productivity apps has exploded. Employees also expect to be able to access data and applications wherever they are. As a result, mobile SAM has emerged as a way to manage software and licenses across all devices. Snow has integrated the best in Enterprise Mobile Management (EMM) capabilities to deliver a truly cross-platform solution.

Henrik Wirén, General Manager Mobility at Snow Software comments: “With Snow Device Manager, we are bringing something different to the Enterprise Mobility Management world as we focus more on productivity and the costs associated with devices. This means we put a lot of effort into making life easy for the end user while at the same time lowering the number of support calls – all executed without compromising security”

Wirén continues: “Enterprise Mobility Management is a crucial aspect of more and more organization’s ability to support the working patterns of their workforce, without negatively impacting productivity. Yet organizations can do more today by combining the control of mobile devices with the optimization that can be achieved through better insight into licenses on those devices. Together, these are a powerful offering for enterprises to truly optimize the full lifecycle of mobile devices.”
