Snow Software Grows US Presence with Key Sales Appointments

Austin, TX, July 18, 2017 – Snow Software (“Snow”), the global leader in Software Asset Management (“SAM”) and Cloud Spend Management solutions, today revealed significant progress towards its US expansion plans. Notably, Snow increased its US sales team with five new sales management appointments.

Marlon Oliver has been appointed as Vice President of Sales, North America. Oliver relocated from Snow’s UK office to the company’s US headquarters in Austin, TX where Axel Kling, Snow’s CEO, is also based. Four new sales directors have joined Snow, strategically situated throughout the country in key regions – namely: Craig Nunley for the South, Kevin Suckow for the East, Wendy Dolan for the Midwest and Chris Miller for the West coast. The sales directors have already begun to build out their local teams to serve customers and partners in each region.

Earlier this spring, Snow announced that it received a $120 million strategic investment from Sumeru Equity Partners and Ontario Pension Board. The investment is earmarked to support product innovation and global expansion – with the US market being a top focus of growth for Snow. In addition to aggressive expansion of the sales team, Snow is also ramping up its back office to service customer deployments with new head count in its support, implementation, services and sales engineering departments.

“Digital transformation is occurring at a rapid pace among US enterprises who are racing to realize business efficiency gains from software usage in all areas of their businesses. With this comes a pressing need to increase visibility of IT consumption across the organization so costs can be controlled and risks mitigated,” said Kling. “Thanks to our recent investment, we have put the people and infrastructure in place to support enterprises at a local level across the country.”

Founded in 2004, Snow is the established global market leader in SAM, helping over 6,000 organizations across more than 50 countries contain and optimize software spend and achieve compliance with complex software licensing terms across cloud, desktop, data center and mobile applications. Snow has grown its revenues by more than 50 percent annually since 2012 and today has over 700 employees in 21 countries. Snow has had its U.S. headquarters in Austin since 2012.

“I couldn’t think of a more exciting time to make the move to Austin and expand Snow’s US footprint. The company is currently in the throes of incredible growth, thanks both to the vibrant market opportunity and our recent investment,” said Marlon. “I look forward to working with Axel, our new sales directors and the entire Snow US team to maximize this opportunity and grow our market share even further.”
