Snow Software simplifies and expands collection of software audit data for license management
Snow’s latest External Data Provider module allows organisations to connect to multiple inventory solutions simultaneously and bring the audit results back to a single server. The External Data Provider 4.0 has also been enhanced to collect audit data from the LANDesk Inventory Manager solution.
Peter Björkman, Chief Technology Officer at Snow Software, commented: “With networks continually growing and becoming more complex, we are seeing an increasing number of organisations where more than one inventory solution is deployed. Snow’s External Data Provider 4.0 makes it easier than ever to collect these separate audit sources and collate the results into a single accurate asset repository.
“We’re also pleased to now offer LANDesk customer a highly-effective software license management solution to complement their existing IT Asset Management investment. Now LANDesk users can optimise their licensing position in the same way that they can discover and configure their hardware assets.”
In addition to LANDesk, the Snow External Data Provider 4.0 is also compatible with Microsoft SCCM, Symantec Altiris and FrontRange Discovery. For organisations requiring a single multi-platform audit solution, Snow Inventory supports Windows, Mac, Unix and Linux environments, as well as virtualisation technologies from Microsoft, VMware and Citrix.
Snow External Data Provider 4.0 is available to all existing customers at no additional cost. For more information, please contact Snow Software.
